Some reviewers have complained about this. Notes on XPS 13 camera: the camera (aka, webcam) is at the bottom of the display, not the top like other laptops. That said, I like the butterfly keyboards on the 12-inch MacBook and MacBook Pro but I may be in the minority. The only remarkably different keyboard is the MacBook Pro's Butterfly keyboard, which has limited travel and the tactile feedback can be less than satisfying for some users. As I said above, the XPS' keyboard has improved over the previous generation. That said, I found no glaring problems with the keyboards/trackpads on the XPS 13 or 13-inch MacBook Pro. Notes on keyboard: With the goal of keeping the comparison as concise as possible, I skipped the keyboard. That said, the MBP 13, even with it's older 7th gen processors, is still remarkably relevant and I would recommend it highly, especially if you can find it discounted by $200 or $300. I'm going to give it to the Dell for the simple reason that most other things being pretty much equal, it packs Intel's latest and greatest quad-core 8th gen chips. Touch Bar models start at $1,799 (but can be found for less at retailers). Price: starts at $1,299 for non-Touch-Bar but usually can be found for $1,099 or less at retailers. Once you've used it, it's really hard to go without it. I use it extensively and, going forward, would never buy another MBP without it.

Touch Bar: this is the single piece of major, consumer-facing technology that Apple has that the Windows world doesn't. In short, you won't find a 13-inch laptop with a better balance of performance and battery life. The MBP 13 will never disappoint (in my experience). Everyone likes long battery life and, I'm guessing, most consumers would rate it more critical than performance. Along with displays, this is another area where Apple excels and one of the reasons the MacBook has such enduring popularity. Performance: Most 13-inch Windows 10 laptops have been offering Intel's quad-core 8th gen processors for more than six months now. While it doesn't have a 360-degree hinge, the display can tilt far back (and note that Dell's newest XPS 15 2-in-1 and Dell's XPS 13 2-in-1 do have a 360-degree hinge).
An almost-borderless 13.3-inch 4K Ultra HD (3,840-by-2,160) touch display that also makes room for infrared imaging sensors to authenticate and unlock Windows via facial recognition. Display: The Dell XPS 13 has probably the most advanced display assembly on any 13-inch laptop today.
